Tywauna reported to me at CompuNet Clinical Laboratories when I led the organization as the CEO. She has very strong peer and supervisor leadership skills, chemistry knowledge, building/leading/and developing high performing operation teams, and was a leader amongst the technical directors at CCL. She also worked closely with the ELT to build operation and clinical strategic business plans to grow our chemistry diagnostic business and develop new tests. I considered her a strong advisor and leader of her peers and direct reports at CCL as well as a strong advisor to the ELT.
Tywauna's best attributes are her desire to collaborate and empower others. I have watched and taken part in Tywauna's skillful collaboration with colleagues across the laboratory medicine profession. She finds value in others' thoughts and wants to learn about their experience, points of view, and roles within their profession. Her curiosity and support go beyond her professional life and are seen in her entrepreneurial endeavors, community involvement, and personal growth accomplishments. She is constantly striving to do and learn more, and she brings others into her journey in order to enrich not only her experience but theirs. With her extensive background in clinical pathology and leadership development, her skills are universal and valuable in any environment. It has been my honor to work and collaborate with Mrs. Wilson thus far, and I look forward to witnessing what the future has in store for her path.
Tywauna was an excellent mentor and leader during my time at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Tywauna had a skilled ability to instantly customize her coaching techniques to fit the individual professional. She had the ability to quickly identify and familiarize herself with a wide variety of personal visions and career goals by using expert techniques that helped her to understand how she should respond with wisdom during crucial conversations. I have observed that not only was Tywauna always willing to share her knowledge, skills and tools from her toolbox, she did it expertly. Her guidance has helped me and others to fulfill career goals which ultimately helped to reach our full potential. Tywauna uses a mentoring and leadership style that she combines with phenomenal story telling of life experiences to drive the teaching vision home in a way that is incredibly relatable and more importantly, memorable. In any given conversation with Tywauna she is able to bring out the brightest ideas from her mentees and her team while leaving wisdom tidbits. Whether it is a new way to improve communication skills to optimize interactions with the team or a new way to approach a problem with tact and professionalism, she prioritizes personal development by encouraging strategic thinking, innovation and then implementing action. She is brilliant, compassionate, confident, resourceful, respected and respectful. There isn’t anyone quite like Tywauna when it comes to her mentorship and leadership style and it is a honor to share my impressions and provide this recommendation. Tywauna’s limitless investment in education and personal growth causes her to be able to flourish effortlessly in any environment that needs a leader!
Tywauna Wilson is an exceptional laboratory professional. She served as the keynote speaker for our Florida’s Society of Clinical Laboratory Science Virtual Spring Symposium. This meeting provides essential education for lab professionals throughout Florida’s. Ms. Wilson’s keynote presentation was dynamic and provided practical tips for our attendees. She is an excellent speaker! Hopefully we’ll have another opportunity to have her as a speaker at future spring symposiums.
I have known Tywauna Wilson since early 2019 through an unexpected meeting. She was articulate, bright, and confident in her approach during our first encounter. Leading a successful healthcare consulting practice, I explored with Tywauna about joining our team. She has been part of the Nutter Group team as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives since early 2020. She has been well received with our clients conducting executive search consulting assignments in the healthcare focused on clinical laboratory and other leadership positions. I teamed with Tywauna developing and presenting several educational programs for state and national professional associations’ business and clinical leadership. She is credible with client engagement and advisory. Program participants are attentive and responsive to her knowledge and presentation style.
Nearly 20 years of in the trenches laboratory and progressive healthcare leadership experience developing the talent pool at all levels of the organization.
